I think that God is love because he is almighty and therefore lawgiver he is not limited by laws which are for the benefit of the creation therefore it is just our perception of his great love and righteousness that is flawed as we do not understand 80% of creation or more and could not therefore understand God fully but must trust him (I havent seen the Babies thread)

Is God LOVE ?
by wobble inthe concept that "god is love" comes, for christians, from the letters of john.. on another thread p sac.
said "god is love, reconcile that with...(the matter being discussed in the thread, babies in hell) and then get back to me".. my question is, was john saying that the god of scripture is "love" , for that is mighty hard to "reconcile", or was he saying that when we humans "love" we have found the divine ?.

I find it very hard to believe in a god
by Newborn inbut i find it equally hard to believe in the evolution theory .
so for now, i chose not to believe in anything but myself and love.

to me it seems that a God is only a god if he gets worship. Hence no putting pictures of your favourite popstars sports stars on your bedroom wall. If kneeling to Christ is obeisance then the three Hebrews could have done it and avoided the agro claiming " we were just showin respect" but they didnt. So you have a problem with Christ, if you worship him. Therefore the JW problems have always originated with their rejecting the Trinity as an explanation of the relationship of the Word to God. (Should we we stand etc.)
having said that I am enjoying some rather strong cocktails so if tomorrow I should regret what I have posted as a lot of nonsense I have an excuse. I always need an excuse.

What i dont understand is that standing up for the National Anthem is worship, but "every knee shall bend" to Christ isn't.

How long did it take you to get rid of your WTS library & literature?

been out 15 years now and no wts literature since.. .
think about it .

he had no formal training and he was self-educated.
but, having suffered a crisis of faith and having experienced the restoration of belief in a hand's-on god; this only gave his messege conviction.. the shortness of time until the end was the core of the witness work begun in the pulpit of local churches he'd been invited to preach in.. the messege was urgent, but, why would people listen?
